Background
Paul joined JMK Solicitors in October 2018. He is a graduate of Ulster University, Paul completed his Legal Practice Course in England and worked in Manchester for a number of years for a trade union affiliated law firm specialising in employers’ liability cases.
Following his move back to Northern Ireland, Paul continued to specialise in personal injury litigation and has now gained over 15 years of experience in this field.
Approach
Paul is known for his attention to detail and exceptional client care. He aims to put himself in his client’s shoes and always provides a high level of service. He finds it hugely rewarding to see a client’s reaction when securing a good outcome for them.
Experience
- Secured a six-figure settlement for a client who suffered serious injuries following a road traffic collision.
- Acted for a client who lost control of their car when the airbag suddenly inflated without warning, causing them to be injured. Paul’s research found that there were known defects in the manufacturing of the car, and he successfully sued the manufacturer securing a settlement for his client.
- Secured compensation in court for an elderly, disabled client, living in a housing authority property, who was badly injured when a grab handle came off the wall in her bathroom, causing her to fall.
Outside of work
Outside of the office Paul is kept busy with his young family and enjoys travel and fitness.
