Background
Gerry acts for clients who have sustained personal injuries as a result of a road traffic accident.
Gerry qualified as a Solicitor from the Institute of Professional Legal Studies at Queen’s University Belfast. Prior to joining JMK Solicitors in 2012, he worked in a high street practice, specialising in litigation.
Approach
Gerry looks at each case and client as an individual. He respects that each client is different and has their own unique reaction to an accident. Gerry aims to advise and guide clients through each step to ensure they do not feel overwhelmed or daunted by the process which may follow in the aftermath of an accident.
Experience
- Acted on behalf of a driving instructor whose vehicle was involved in an accident during a lesson. The other driver disputed liability and had a supposedly independent witness. The court favoured our client and their learner’s evidence, and 100% liability was awarded in their favour.
- Acted for a client who gave evidence remotely from her home in Australia, resulting in an award of £9,000.
- Successfully secured compensation for a client whose vehicle aquaplaned off the road, striking a mound of earth left by contractors.
Outside of work
Outside of work, Gerry enjoys playing guitar, going to gigs, and acting as ‘Dad’s Taxi’ for his two children.
